Top Holiday Toys 2010 - Perplexus Toy Gets Numerous Top Toy Awards
A Canadian toy manufacturer, PlaSmart Inc., has recently attained distinction and major kudos from some highly regarded trade associations including the American Speciality Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA), the Canadian Toy Test Council (CTTC), The Toy Insider, NAPPA and Parents magazine, for a new product called “Perplexus.”
“We are honored that Perplexus has been recognized by so many important and influential organizations,” says Timothy Kimber, President of PlaSmart, Inc. “We strive to deliver fun, innovative and engaging products that bring families together and these industry honors confirm that Perplexus has achieved our goal.”
Perplexus is a maze game where users must direct a small marble around difficult walls inside a see through circular object. The game includes 100 walls that make up numerous routes for the marble to travel. This is much more difficult and interesting than regular maze games as the game occurs in three dimensions, not the usual single plane. Game players choose the best pathways to move the marble using gravity. the game is measured using time - the fastest marble determines the winner. Players can race their friends or try to beat previous times using a clock.
PlaSmart claims the toy is ideal for motor and dexterity development in children and for improving hand-eye co-ordination. Perplexus costs $19.99 retail and can be purchased at local speciality stores and large box chains.
