Land Rover LR2 Recall - Latest Info
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC. recently announced a recall for its 2010-2011 LR2 vehicles that were fabricated between November 12, 2009 and August 23, 2010. The reason for the recall pertains to the frontal air bag components whereby the shorting bar in the clock spring could disconnect when the driver’s air bag connector is installed resulting in the airbag not opening correctly or not opening at all.
Land Rover advises owners to return the affected vehicles to their local dealers who will install a spacer into the driver’s airbag clock spring harness connector. All service and labor will be conducted at no cost and the recall is to begin by December 13, 2010.
2956 Land Rover LR2 vehicles have been affected.
