KIA Sorento Recall - Latest Info
KIA Motors Corporation recently made public a vehicle recall of their model year 2011 Sorento. A reported 7697 vehicles are affected by the recall.
The vehicles in question were manufactured between September 14, 2010 and October 4, 2010. The problem seems to be the rear brake calipers may not have been machined according to standards. The ramifications could be leaking brake fluid which would lead to lessened brake power heightening the risk of a crash.
KIA Sorento owners can return their vehicles to their local dealer for a full inspection and possible replacement of the rear calipers at no cost to the customer. The recall is planned to begin in December, 2010.
