Basement Leaks - New Device Helps Save Time And Money On Repairs
Mr. Sponge Waterproofing, the leading polyurethane injection waterproofing company in southeast Michigan, announced today that it is now offering its newly developed tie-rod hole leak device called “TRX Compressed Swell Plug”. Â Homeowners, property managers and maintenance repair personnel can now save time and money on costly basement repairs by doing this repair process themselves.
The new TRX Compressed Swell Plug was developed from 15 years of in-field service from Mr. Sponge Waterproofing, Inc. of Novi, Michigan. The TRX plug is unique in its two stage sealing capabilities and has been field tested for 15 years as an in-field repair product offered under their service portfolio. The compressed action of the TRX Compressed Swell Plug allows the end user to tighten the TRX to shut off a basement leak instantly. The second stage of the TRX has a water-activated sleeve that swells with the presence of water causing a long-term permanent seal.
The TRX patent pending device is designed to seal holes created from the forming of poured concrete foundation walls. During construction, conventional wall forming systems called “shuttering” use 5/8″ steel rods approximately every 18 inches to hold the forms in place. Once the concrete is cured, the rods are removed, leaving holes that leak over time.
The TRX is the most advanced user-friendly do-it-yourself sealing device for tie-rod hole leaks, a Michigan made product developed by Mr. Sponge Waterproofing, Inc.
