Small Business Training - SBA And Microsoft Launch New Training Resource For Small Business Owners
The United States Small Business Administration and Microsoft have announced a new tool, Business Technology Simplified, that will aid entrepreneurs navigate the new technology waters that can be intimidating to small business.
“We are thrilled to continue our long-standing relationship with the SBA and small businesses by providing this free resource that will arm this community with the technology know-how to safely and smartly grow their businesses in many strategic ways.”
The U.S. SBA and Microsoft have joined forces to offer this free guide outlining how technology can vastly improve the small business persons’ chance of success. The guidebook teaches the fundamentals on why technology is important and specifically how to use technology to gain a competitive edge. The guidebook’s foreword section is authored by Earvin “Magic” Johnson and relates his business ups and downs and how embracing technology made all the difference.
“Our goal as an agency is to get information, tools and services into the hands of small business owners more quickly so they can spend more time doing what they do best – creating the jobs that will drive our economic recovery,” said SBA Administrator Karen Mills. “This new guidebook is one more tool available to support small business growth through access to information and resources.”
Business Technology Simplified provides the reader with down to earth, common sense tips and hints regarding the use of technology to make business run more smoothly. Some particular subjects include how to de-mystify marketing, seeking out and keeping customers, time management, and various other technology themes.
