Walmart (NYSE:WMT) Announces Black Friday Deals And Promises To Match Competitors' Pricing

Walmart (NYSE:WMT) recently announced their plans for this year’s Black Friday, which will comprise of three days of savings at their stores across America, as well as their online store, www.walmart.com, on Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, as well as on Saturday, 27 November.

Walmart also announced a new price match guarantee at all Walmart stores across America on Friday, with the company pledging to match any price offered by a competitor in any Black Friday ads. In order to qualify for this price match offer on Friday, customers may simply bring copies of competitors’ ads, which will be matched by Walmart right at their registers.

The savings will continue on Saturday, 27 November, with discounts on electronics being offered from 5:00 a.m. onwards. Stephen Quinn, the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Walmart, issued the following statement regarding these three days of savings: “We’re making this year’s Friday After Thanksgiving a special, festive event with big savings starting at midnight, and lots of food and fun for our customers while they shop and wait for the electronics deals starting at 5:00 a.m. Walmart’s ability to easily price match competitors’ ads right at the checkout registers mean our customers will save time and money on Nov. 26.”
