“True Blood” Couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Weds in Real Life
Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, who play the roles of the supernatural couple Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton in the HBO hit series “True Blood,” were recently married in a ceremony at a private house in Malibu, California, surrounded by family and friends. The on- and off-screen couple, who have been together since meeting on the set of “True Blood” announced their engagement last August.
Paquin, who became the second youngest Academy Award winner in history after winning the award for “Best Supporting Actress” for her role in Jane Campion’s highly acclaimed film “The Piano” aged just 11, has also starred in a variety of successful films including “She’s All That”, “Almost Famous” and the “X-Men” series. Moyer has also appeared in several films and TV series, and has won two awards for his role as Bill Compton in “True Blood”.
Paquin wore a white halterneck, three-quarter length wedding gown reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe’s style during the ceremony held by the beach at sunset, and the guest list contained several celebrities, including Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Alan Ball, Rutina Wesley, Carrie Preston as well as Michael Emerson, Carrie’s husband, and Lord of the Rings star, Elijah Wood.
The newly married couple live in Venice, Los Angeles, and Paquin will now become a step mom to Moyer’s two children from a previous relationship, Billy and Lilac.
