Medicare Health Insurance Plans - SeniorBlue Gets Top 25 Ranking For Third Consecutive Year

SeniorBlue, which is a Medicare health maintenance organization product offered by Keystone Health Plan Central, was recently ranked No. 22 in the Medicare Health Insurance Plan Rankings of 2010/2011, by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This makes it the third consecutive year that SeniorBlue has been ranked as one of the top 25 Medicare Health Insurance Plans in the US.

The Medicare Health Insurance Plan Rankings are based on the performance of Medicare plans in several different categories, as assessed by the NCQA, an independent, not-for-profit organization which is dedicated to measuring the quality of health care in America. This year, SeniorBlue was found to have performed particularly well in the category of Customer Satisfaction, continuing the trend set in the previous two years.

Keystone Health Plan Central is a wholly owned subsidiary of Capital BlueCross, and Bill Lehr, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Capital BlueCross, issued the following statement regarding this recognition of the performance of SeniorBlue: “Consistency is a key sign of a strong, successful health plan, especially when it comes to keeping customers happy. To maintain a top-25 national ranking three years running shows that we are a driven, member focused health insurer that knows what it takes to compete and deliver in our market.”
