Los Angeles DUI Lawyer Issues Warning On Upcoming New Law
Amir Soleimanian, a DUI attorney from Los Angeles, has issued a warning to repeat DUI offenders in the state of California regarding a new law taking effect in January 2012. The new law states that DUI offenders will face a 10-year license suspension for a third DUI conviction.
Anyone suspected of drinking under the influence can be pulled over by police and a blood alcohol level above .08% will constitute a DUI resulting in arrest and a prohibition of driving. At present, a person who gets a third conviction within a 10-year period after a second conviction will earn a 2-year revocation of driving privileges.
Soleimanian, whose nickname is Mr. Ticket, also warns of car insurance rates going up after a DUI conviction. Some insurance institutions may not even bother to insure drivers with a history of DUI.
