Honda Fit Recall - Latest Info

American Honda Motor Company recently announced a vehicle recall on certain model year 2007-08 Honda Fit vehicles. More than 143,000 vehicles are affected by this recall.

The problem is with the high/low beam dimmer switch. Upon installation, the wiring harness for the combination switch was put in wrong, and wires controlling the lower beam were installed too tight.

Over time, the low beam effectiveness will diminish, decreasing the driver’s overall visibility and increasing the chance of a serious accident.

Honda advises Honda Fit owners to return their vehicles to their local dealer for a full inspection and repair if necessary at no cost. The recall is expected to begin no later than January 21, 2011.
