Black Friday Travel Promotion - IHG Offers Discounted Flights

Between Nov. 1 and Nov. 29, Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) customers can find out the online link to register for IHG’s Black Friday deal by watching @IHG_Deals on their Twitter accounts. IHG says the deal will enable U.S. travelers to receive $50 off on any flight to anywhere until April 30, 2011 when they stay at least one weekend night in any IHG owned hotels in the U.S. Customers will also be eligible to win a $50 gift card by retweeting “50 Free Friday” tweets.

“Our Black Friday promotion gives consumers a discounted travel option when they’re looking for deals leading up to one of the biggest shopping days of the year”, said Del Ross, vice president, U.S. Sales and Marketing. “Not only can our guests get $50 off a flight, this combined with our other promotions lets them earn free nights and save on baggage fees at the same time.”

IHG customers can receive the Black Friday deal by following tweets on Twitter that will reveal a limited time link. Customers then register for the promotion and book just one weekend night between Nov.1 and Nov. 29 for a stay between Nov. 1 and Apr. 30. Enjoy your stay and receive $50 off the flight of your choice.

The National Retail Federation acknowledges that Black Friday has come to be known as the ceremonial start to the holiday shopping season. For several years now, Black Friday has been the busiest retail day in the U.S., spurring retailers to offer numerous sales and promotions for their customers.
