PayPal will begin the holidays with special promotions and more purchase protections for their global customers.

These customer incentives include free shipping and significant discounts at eBay, Barnes & Noble and ShoeBuy.com, and PayPal customers will have protection on qualified purchases they do not receive, or if a purchase is drastically different than advertised by the seller.

“Time-crunched shoppers are looking online or using their mobile phones to purchase that perfect bargain this holiday season,” said Amanda Pires, senior director at PayPal. “With more ways to shop than ever, consumers will not only be looking for deals, but also for a simplified shopping experience with the peace of mind knowing they can receive PayPal protection.”

Another customer service PayPal has added is the PayPal Mobile Express Checkout. Customers of PayPal have transacted more than $141 million in 2009, up from $25 million in 2008. PayPal expects this trend to increase in future years.

Customers can receive these bargains online or on their mobile devices from now until January 12, 2011.
