MassMutual Retirement Services Launches New Website To Help People With Retirement Planning

To kick off the first quarter of 2011, the Retirement Services Division of MassMutual will introduce the first phase of its brand new RetireSmart website that is targeted at helping people save for their post-retirement years.

The unique selling position attributed to MassMutual’s RetireSmart knowledge program is the fact the program spurs members to act in a financially appropriate manner when it is most logical to do so. The idea is to provide as much freedom to the member in designing their own plan as possible.

“MassMutual’s participant experience is evolving to take advantage of the latest behavioural research and technologies available,” says E. Heather Smiley, chief marketing officer for MassMutual’s Retirement Services Division. “Every retirement plan participant should have access to the tools and resources they need to effectively plan and save for retirement – and we believe MassMutual’s participant website will be the model of the future.”

“Every participant on our platform, regardless of plan size, will enjoy the benefits of MassMutual’s significant investment in tools and resources that make retirement planning and saving as simple as possible,” adds Kris Gates, assistant vice president, participant education and technology.

Major features of stage one are an online video game to heighten appreciation for retirement issues, less detailed page menus so members can find what they want in a timely manner and with ease, and much more powerful search functions.

“These participant website enhancements are just the first in a series of upgrades planned to help participants, plan sponsors and advisors successfully manage resources related to their retirement plans,” says Scott Palmer, vice president, MassMutual Retirement Services Systems.
