Roadside Service - Allstate Launches New Good Hands Roadside Assistance Plan

The national insurance company, Allstate (NYSE:ALL), announced the launch of their new Good Hands Roadside Assistance program for drivers in need of vehicle help. The plan is free to sign up, all drivers may qualify as it is not limited to only customers of Allstate, and is a “pay only when you require assistance” type of plan.

Allstate launched this service to provide an option for the 35 million U.S. households that currently do not have any roadside assistance plans. The new service is also another option for households who have roadside assistance plans but must pay a yearly charge.

“With the launch of Good Hands Roadside, Allstate continues to broaden the definition of protection with new products and services consumers want in the ways they want them,” said Chuck Paul, group vice president, Emerging Businesses, for Allstate. “This is just another option individuals can use to protect what matters most.”

The major features of Allstate’s roadside assistance plan include the fact it is available everyday, around the clock by calling 1-800-ALLSTATE. Towing fees are $75 for up to 10 miles, and $50 for other help such as repair of a flat tire, boosting of a dead battery, or unlocking locked doors. There are no monthly, annual, or hidden fees with this program.
